The finishing hole is a par 4 where drives should stay right of the pine tree on the left side of the fairway. The green slopes from right-to-left, so players must take this into account on their second shot.

Couple distance and accuracy with strategic shotmaking to score low at the Player, though don’t let the course’s moderate length fool you. Some of the most difficult shots you’ll face come around the greens and out of bunkers.

Gary Player hails from a historic era of golf, when the sport started gaining in popularity worldwide during the 1950s. During his career, Player won over 150 professional tournaments over seven decades, including nine majors. Each round at the Player Course lets you relive part of history.

Course Highlights

Water features prominently on the Player, with creeks and streams snaking across fairways and around greens to capture errant shots. Be careful off the tee on the scenic 9th and 18th—a large pond runs from the tees all the way to the green.
